Kîmaathi Publishing House (KPH) is a home for African ideas, thoughts and vision. The aim of KPH is to promote and develop independent African thinking whose goal is to spiritually and materially empower African people, and also to provide a platform for producing and exploring African images and identities.

KPH draws inspiration from the revolutionary legacy of Dedan Kimaathi, sharing his desire for the liberation of our continent—and for a new Africa.

KPH is committed to promoting pan-Africanist thinking and practice as a way of reclaiming and inspiring dignity, self-respect and solidarity within the continent and in the diaspora. KPH endeavours to build a home for diverse African literary works, including discourse in history, education, philosophy, politics and social criticism, as well as fiction and poetry.

To realise these goals, KPH supports African historians, creative writers, artists, political thinkers and researchers by providing a forum for their work: an opportunity for them to realise the African dream—the KPH dream.
